3 Months!

Bronson officially turned 3 months old on Monday! I can't believe it. He only gets more fun with each passing day as he learns more and develops into more of a little person than a baby. He also got a name and a blessing on January 1st. Teague's parents and grandparents were able to come for the occasion.

Here he is in his cute little blessing outfit - courtesy of Grandma Debbie...

Check out the kicks!

He loves his baths

He will only sleep on his tummy

And he's the smiliest, most bright eyed little guy I ever met!

Who has a new found love for reading books with his mom or dad! :)

Being a mom is truly amazing.

Quick Post

Here is a quick post with some newer pictures of our little guy. He's almost 11 weeks now and I can't hardly believe it! Having a baby at home really keeps us both busy...not as much time for blogging and things like that! We were able to make it out to Colorado for Christmas and it was fun to see all of Teague's family there. Although I must admit I didn't miss the cold when we came back to 75 degree days in California! :) Man I love it here...
Here are some pictures of our growing boy...he changes everyday I swear!

And yes...it's already time for a haircut! :)

Happy New Year everyone!

New Addition

Ok...so it's been a little while since I've posted...especially seeing as my last post was me at 37 weeks pregnant and now I have a 1 month old! But, I did have a baby...so we've been just a little bit busy! So now I'm going to play a little catch up. He's 5 weeks old now!

Bronson Teague Gearhart
Born October 16, 2011
6 lbs 6 oz
19 inches

Here are a few photos of the last month of his life! He's been such a joy to have in our family and I can't believe how fast he's growing...every day he wakes up he looks different and has some new tricks to show us! It is so fun!
This is Bronson coming home from the hospital...he looks so tiny in that big car seat.

Just a couple days old...

Meeting Uncle Brandon at about a week old.

Sweet smiles...he completely has Teague's smile!

Uncle Durant is learning how to hold Bronson better every time we see him! He's gonna be pro by the time he gets married and has his own kids.

Our little sleepy boy all curled up...haha this picture makes me laugh, he was just so comfy!

And that's the first month or so of Bronson's life...our lives are definitely different, but so fun and exciting. We love him so much and can't wait to watch him grow and change.

37 Weeks and a Quilt

So I'm 37 weeks now! That means the baby could really come at any time...not too many signs that he's going to be here before his due date, but Teague and I are both getting very anxious to meet the little guy. Waiting for labor is such an interesting concept. Really it could come any time or it could be another few weeks, I think that's what drives me so crazy! But I am more excited than anything to see what he looks like.
Here is a picture of me at 37 weeks, I've grown a little more...the Dr says I'm still measuring small though, so more than likely I"ll have a small baby...I gotta say, I don't mind having a small baby! :)

I started working on a quilt somewhere around the time I found out I was pregnant and would go through periods of time when I would work on it a lot and then I wouldn't go back to it for a month or so, but finally about a month and a half ago I finished it! And I'm so proud!! (And addicted! I wanna make another!)...now keep in mind I didn't know whether we were having a boy or a girl when I picked out the fabric, so I just picked fun bright fabric instead of gender specific..so NO comments about how girly it is :) I figure it was made with so much love that our little boy won't mind. :)

Here's an up close shot so you can see all the freehand quilting I did. It's not perfect, but I think that's the part I'm most proud of because it was my first time...it was hard to do at first, but once I got the hang of it, it was a little addicting! So FUN!

Last, but not least here is a link to the wonderful tutorial I followed. She laid it out in easy to do steps even for some who's never made a quilt before!

7 stitches at 7 months

So about a month ago I was attempting to take a heavy mirror out of it's frame so I could use the frame for something else. I successfully got it out of the frame,  and laid it on the carpet, but about an hour later I thought I'd get it all cleaned up for when Teague got home from school. When I went to pick up the mirror to move it, it slipped out of my hands and landed right on the top of my foot!
There was a ton of blood immediately, so I called Teague (he says I called him screaming!! haha. I don't think I was really screaming tho...just crying ;)) and told him what had happened and he hurried home. We ended up at urgent care where I had to get 7 stitches. I thought the worst part would be the stitches but my foot was too sore to walk on for about a week, so I looked like a disabled pregnant lady hobbling around at work and wherever else I had to be.
No fun! Now all of the scabbing is finally gone and I'm left with kind of an ugly scar, but it's not thick, so I have hope that it'll fade. (I'm religiously using Mederma everyday, in hopes that it'll help fade it).
Here are pictures of the progression...don't look if you get queasy at the sight of blood!!!!

This is what my foot looked like by the time we made it to urgent care (the whole bottom of my foot was absolutely covered in blood...and yes, I used a target bag as a tourniquet! Lol...I was closest to the kitchen when it happened and I didn't want to track blood all thru the house on the carpet. For future reference, it worked amazing! haha.

Here's how it looked after we soaked it and scrubbed the blood off in order to get ready for stitches. Pretty nasty gash...and if you're thinking it looks like Harry Potter's scar, you're not the first. :)

And the stitches...the doctor made me nervous because you could tell he hasn't done that many stitches and honestly he didn't do the best job, but he was really nice and the stitches did the job I suppose.

And this is what it looks like now...much better. I'm just glad it's finally healed and closed up so I can go float my huge pregnant body in the cool pool and so I can get my before birth pedicure! :) Silly I know!

Baby Shower

My baby shower was a couple of weeks ago. We decided to do it open house style so people could come and go as they pleased and it turned out to be lots of fun! My mom and aunts prepared a spread that ANY pregnant lady would be jealous of!
So I ate...and ate...and ate...

Then opened some adorable presents!

A very creative friend named Lindsey made these too cute favors to send home with everyone,

And she surprised me with this oh SO COOL basket of all the things that I have been craving!! What a neat idea (and one of the best things? I got an awesome basket to reuse AND the bottom is filled with newborn diapers!! PERFECTION)

And these are just a few of the wonderful people that showered me with gifts and congrats! Thank you to everyone that made it and to my mom, aunts, and Lindsey for making it such a cute and fun day! I love you all!

31 Weeks and Belated 23rd Bday

I'm officially 23 years old and 31 weeks! :) My birthday was almost a month ago now, but I never posted about it. We went to BJ's for dinner with my mom and brothers and Teague treated me like a queen (As always)

Here's me at 31 Weeks...

We only got a couple pictures of my birthday and my mom and Brandon were at dinner too, but I have a family that refuses to have their picture taken! So here's Durant being silly :) And Teague and me at dinner.
